Charlize Theron, Misty Copeland, Yao Chen debut Breitling's first ladies' Chronomat
In contempo years, women accept emerged as a growing segment of lookout buyers. Their preferences likewise have changed. The ladies' Chronomat watches accept their cues from the 80s original, featuring rider tabs, a polished case and the Rouleaux bracelet. Sporty still elegant, the retro-inspired pattern is well-suited to whatever occasion, from business meetings and gala dinners to, well, the beach.
2 sizes have been launched, 1 in 32mm and the other in 36mm. Now, while the picket is meant for women, the 36mm version can well be worn by men with slim wrists. (The Rolex Datejust, by comparison, also comes in a 36mm variant).
To launch the collection, Breitling partnered with Oscar-winner Charlize Theron, dancer Misty Copeland and Chinese extra Yao Chen, collectively known as the Spotlight Squad.
"Our inspiration for this new collection is the Breitling woman herself, equally represented in our Squad on a Mission campaign: A adult female of purpose, action, and style who's at the superlative of her game," said Breitling CEO Georges Kern.
"Who better than Charlize Theron, Misty Copeland, and Yao Chen to turn the spotlight on major global causes as they redefine what it means to be a strong woman? Three leading stars known for being tearing and pushing boundaries."
The Chronomat collection is bachelor in an array of metal cases – stainless steel, bicolour, or 18K ruby-red gilt. Those who wish for extra sparkle tin can opt for diamond-ready bezels and indexes.
The Chronomat 32 runs on the Breitling Calibre 77, a quartz move that has a bombardment life of three to 4 years. It comes in seven versions, with white or midnight blue dials.
Meanwhile, the Chronomat Automatic 36 is powered by the automated Breitling Calibre x with a reserve of about 42 hours. There are ten versions to choose from, with special lacquered dials in white, stake light-green, midnight blue, or copper.
